What does Right to one's own image?

The Right to one's own image results from the general right of personality (Art. 1, 2 GG) and means that every person can decide for themselves whether they want to be recognizably depicted in a photo or video. Since at least digital photo/video recordings are personal data is not only the Art Copyright Actbut also the GDPR to note.

Practical example

One affected Person makes use of their Right to one's own image and contacts the person responsible, who will take the appropriate steps.
