Ransomware

What does Ransomware?

"Ransomware" is a term of art made up of "ransom" and "software" and means "blackmail software" in German. Typical manifestations are so-called blackmail or encryption Trojans, with which unauthorized Third gain access to the data in a third-party IT system. The aim of the Ransomware is to encrypt the data of the infected systems and at the same time demand a "ransom" in order to decrypt the data and thus make it accessible again to the actual users.
