Third country
What does Third country?
A Third country is a country that is neither a member of the EU nor the EEA. As it cannot be assumed that a similarly high level of data protection exists in such third countries as in the EU or EEA, a Data transmission to such a third country is only permitted under certain conditions (Art. 44 et seq. GDPR).
Practical example
For cross-border data transfers, the company complies with the requirements of Third country and thus ensures an appropriate level of data protection.
