What does Marketing?

The term "Marketing" generally refers to a specific area in a company that is intended to market its own offerings. The aim is therefore to present the company's own products or services in such a way that they are at least considered desirable by the target group addressed. The aim of marketing is therefore to create incentives to buy. From a business perspective, this term describes the concept of holistic, market-oriented corporate management to satisfy the needs and expectations of (potential) customers. In terms of data protection law, the Marketing a legitimate purpose, which, for example, in the case of postal Advertising ultimately means that the legitimate interests of the controller can be used as a legal basis.

Practical example

Within the scope of Marketing uses a company personal data for targeted advertising measures and obtains the necessary consent in advance.
