Incident Management

What does Incident Management?

The term Incident Management (Incident management describes the process of detecting, handling and resolving a security incident or malfunction. This involves various things, such as errors in the IT structure or attacks from outside (Cybersecurity) and, with regard to data protection law, therefore primarily about dealing with or preparing for data breaches and, if necessary, reporting them (Art. 33, 34 GDPR).

Practical example

One company uses Incident Management to personal data through Technical and organizational measures from unauthorized access.
