Data protection team

What does Data protection team?

If there is not just one person responsible for implementing data protection at a controller, but several, they form a Data protection team. Ideally, such a team consists of a data protection officer, who plans and monitors everything, individual data protection coordinators and/or data protection managers and, if necessary, other people. The task of such a data protection team is the strategic implementation of data protection in the responsible body.

Practical example

If a company commissions an external service provider with data processing, this service provider is referred to as the Data protection team and a corresponding contract is concluded.
