Data protection team

What does Data protection team?

If a controller has not just one person responsible for implementing data protection measures, but several, then these individuals form a Data protection team. Ideally, such a team consists of a data protection officer who plans and oversees everything, individual data protection coordinators and/or data protection managers, and, if necessary, other personnel. The role of such a data protection team is to strategically implement data protection measures within the responsible entity.

Practical example

If a company commissions an external service provider with data processing, this service provider is referred to as the Data protection team The work is carried out, and a corresponding contract is signed.
