Audit

What does Audit?

An audit examines whether processes, requirements and guidelines meet the required standards. Audits of a company's own data protection compliance do not necessarily always have to follow strict audit rules. The method is less important than the result: ultimately, depending on the situation and requirements, it is necessary to check what the current data protection requirements are and how your own situation compares to them. A target/actual comparison must therefore be carried out, also known as a gap analysis. Regardless of the respective procedure, the aim of every review, every audit, is to then compile and evaluate the findings, draw conclusions, derive specific recommendations for action if necessary and write everything down in an audit report.
