Accountability
What does Accountability?
Responsible persons Entities must ensure that they comply with the GDPR and be able to prove this in case of doubt (so-called accountability). Although there is no reversal of the burden of proof in the procedural sense, data controllers are obliged to provide evidence to the data protection supervisory authority, for example. It is no longer enough to behave in a data protection-compliant manner, you must also be able to provide the corresponding evidence.
Practical example
With the Processing of data, the company takes into account the principle of Accountabilityby collecting only necessary data and providing transparent information about its use.
