What does Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework?
The Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework (TADPF) is the successor regulation to the Privacy Shield and the Safe Harbor Regulation. As a legal framework in the form of an adequacy decision, it is intended to ensure in future that the Transmission of personal data to the USA can be assumed to provide an adequate level of protection. The declaration on the implementation of the TADPF was adopted by the EDPB.
Practical example
Since 2023, the Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework data transfers between the EU and the USA under defined data protection conditions.
