What does Mobile Device Management ?

Under the term "Mobile Device Management" refers to the centralized management of mobile devices, e.g. smartphones and tablets. With the help of Mobile Device Management are often used to manage and administer the end devices issued to employees of a company or public authority for professional purposes. For example, certain apps can be pre-installed or users can be prevented from doing so independently. In this respect, the Mobile Device Management as a technical and organizational measure (TOM) is an important instrument of IT security.
