Integrity

What does Integrity?

Integrity is a guarantee objective in Art. 32 para. 1 lit. B) GDPR and a protection goal in the area of IT security. The IT baseline protection of the BSI refers to the consistent functioning of IT systems as well as the completeness and accuracy of data and information. It is therefore primarily about preventing unauthorized changes to important information. In accordance with Section 64 (3) No. 11 BDSG, this means Integrity the guarantee that stored personal data cannot be damaged by system malfunctions, for example through access restrictions, error analysis or similar. It is therefore about regulations on aspects of Input control, transfer/transport control or transmission control.
