The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) is a federal cyber security authority. The BSI is part of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Home Affairs and is based in Bonn. Initially responsible for protecting government networks and securing central network transitions, its tasks have been steadily expanded, including the possibility of introducing an IT security label.
