Blacklisting

What does Blacklisting?

The term "Blacklisting" refers to a process, primarily in the IT sector, that is used to identify threats to other systems or Networks are to be averted. This is achieved by blacklisting known threats or their characteristics and thus blocking them. In contrast to this, there is also the whitelisting procedure, in which everything is initially blocked and only those procedures/applications that are on the list and are therefore classified as safe are permitted.

Practical example
