Duty to inform

What does Duty to inform?

With the Processing of personal data, the data subjects have the right to be informed as early as possible. Corresponding Duty to inform can be found in Art. 13, 14 GDPR and this ultimately also follows from the principle of transparency (Art. 5 para. 1 lit. A) GDPR). In a precise, transparent, comprehensible and easily accessible form in clear and simple language (Art. 12 para. 1 GDPR) are those set out in Art. 13, 14 GDPR to provide the information listed. This obligation applies to Responsible persons Both offline and online, i.e. data protection declarations must be regularly placed on websites, blogs and social media profiles. This is a purely declaratory obligation, i.e. the data subjects do not have to confirm that they have read or understood the content. Responsible persons Entities must only be able to prove that they provide the mandatory information.
