What does E-Privacy Regulation?

At the same time as the GDPR should also include the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the respect for private life and the protection of personal data in electronic communications and repealing Directive 2002/58/EC (Regulation on privacy and electronic communications). Privacy and electronic communication), in short: the E-Privacy Regulationcome into force. However, this has not yet been finalized, so unfortunately only a corresponding proposal exists. The aim of the E-Privacy Regulation is to adapt the rules for electronic communication to the GDPR without going beyond their regulations. Unfortunately, there has been no regulation at EU level specifically relating to online data protection. In Germany, the TDDDG now more or less fills this gap.
