With a view of the Rhine and Cologne’s Kranhäuser, Managing Director and attorney Marcus Belke led a one-day workshop for data protection officers and users from large corporations. The focus was on current developments in the Data protection, practical experience, and the further development of data protection management solutions for use in complex corporate structures.
Participants gained firsthand insights into current Cloud-Technologies and the challenges they pose for data protection. Michael Kranewetter, Chief Security Advisor at Microsoft Germany, explained the technical fundamentals and security concepts of modern Cloud- and Azure environments. In addition, attorney Marco Schröder of 2B Advice discussed the data protection issues and regulatory requirements associated with the use of Cloud-Solutions for businesses.
Users actively contribute to the product's further development
A particular focus of the meeting was on the exchange of experiences among the participants. It became clear how differently data protection management solutions are implemented within corporate groups and what requirements companies place on modern governance, risk, and Compliance-platforms.
Participants discussed new features, shared best practices, and provided valuable insights for the further development of future solutions. The program was rounded out by a case study from the business world as well as in-depth technical discussions on current data protection topics.
The positive feedback from participants once again confirmed the great value of face-to-face interaction. Especially in times of new regulatory requirements—from the GDPR From NIS2 to the AI Act—practical discussions and case studies are becoming increasingly important.
