With the release 7.10.3.1<\/strong>, which took place on September 30, 2026<\/strong> Once it becomes available in Germany and on October 1, 2026, in the U.S., 2B Advice PrIME will be particularly useful for Management of Processing Activities (DPP)<\/strong> expanded. In the future, processing activities can be selectively deactivated. When creating a new version, it is also possible to automatically deactivate the previous version.<\/p>\n

In addition, this release includes fixes related to the recalculation of processing activities and the permissions of local DPOs, as well as other security enhancements.<\/p>\n

Disable processing activities<\/h2>\n

Processing activities may change over time. Processes may be discontinued, replaced by other processes, or continued in a new version. For documentation purposes, it is therefore important to note whether a processing activity is still actively used or is no longer part of the current processing.<\/p>\n

Until now, this lifecycle could only be modeled to a limited extent in PrIME. In particular, when creating a new version, the status of the previous version had to be taken into account separately. As a result, both the previous and the new versions of a processing activity could be listed as active at the same time.<\/p>\n

With the new release, a processing activity can be deactivated directly from its overview. The new action for this is \u201eDeactivate\u201c \/ \u201eDeaktivieren\u201c<\/strong> available.<\/p>\n

If the processing activity in question has already been disabled, the action will not be available again. PrIME takes the current status into account and disables the corresponding button.<\/p>\n

To deactivate it, open the relevant processing activity and select the action in its overview \u201eDisable\u201c<\/strong> selected. The processing activity is then marked as deactivated.<\/p>\n

This makes it possible to distinguish between processing activities that are no longer relevant or have been discontinued and those that are still in use.<\/p>\n

Disable previous version in version control<\/h2>\n

Previously, the previous version of a processing activity generally remained active when a new version was created. If only the new version was to be continued, the status of the previous version therefore had to be taken into account as well.<\/p>\n

With this release, the Creating a New Version<\/strong> the option<\/p>\n

\u201eDeactivate previous version\u201c \/ \u201eDeactivate previous version\u201c<\/strong><\/p>\n

added.<\/p>\n

If this option is selected, PrIME creates the new version and deactivates the previous version at the same time. This allows both versioning and the status change to be performed in a single step.<\/p>\n

The option is enabled by default not enabled<\/strong>. The current behavior will therefore remain unchanged for the time being. If you want the current version to remain active, no further selection is required.<\/p>\n

If, on the other hand, the current version is to be replaced by the new version, the option \u201eDisable Previous Version\u201c<\/strong> be activated. PrIME then deactivates the previous version as part of the version creation process.<\/p>\n

Central Configuration of the Deactivation Function<\/h2>\n

You can opt out of data processing by using a Configuration Settings for Processing Activities<\/strong> be controlled centrally.<\/p>\n

If this feature is enabled, both the action \u201eDisable\u201c<\/strong> in the overview of a processing activity, as well as the option \u201eDisable Previous Version\u201c<\/strong> when creating a new version.<\/p>\n

If the feature is disabled, both options are completely hidden in the user interface.<\/p>\n

Organizations can use this to determine whether to implement the new feature for mapping the lifecycle of processing activities in their PrIME system.<\/p>\n

Adjustment When Recalculating Processing Activities<\/h2>\n

Under certain circumstances, the automatic Recalculation of Processing Activities<\/strong> got caught in a continuous processing loop. In these cases, the calculation was triggered repeatedly instead of terminating after successful processing.<\/p>\n

The underlying logic was corrected in this release. After successful processing, the recalculation of a processing activity is now completed properly. An ongoing recalculation under the affected conditions no longer occurs.<\/p>\n

For users, this does not result in any change in how the system is operated.<\/p>\n

Correcting Permissions for Local DPOs<\/h2>\n

For users with the role Local DPO<\/strong> An authorization issue might have occurred when accessing reports on processing activities.<\/p>\n

In certain cases, users were unable to access the relevant reports, even though they were supposed to have access based on the permissions assigned to them.<\/p>\n

The authorization check has been corrected accordingly. Users with the role Local DPO<\/strong> After the update, they can access reports on processing activities in accordance with the permissions assigned to them.<\/p>\n

No additional configuration by administrators or users is generally required. Existing permissions will be taken into account accordingly after the update.<\/p>\n

Security Improvements<\/h2>\n

This release includes several Security Improvements<\/strong>, relating to permissions, access controls, and system availability.<\/p>\n

Configuring Permissions<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following the introduction of the new functional role \u201eBBDRO_AnswerSelector\u201c<\/strong> It was determined that the permissions required for this were not yet fully included in certain customer-specific roles. The affected roles were therefore updated to include the necessary permissions for Processing Assessments<\/strong> added.<\/p>\n

This ensures that users with appropriately configured custom roles can use the intended features within assessments.<\/p>\n

Access to Processing Activity Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n

For users with the role Local DPO<\/strong> An authorization issue could occur when accessing Processing Activity Reports. In certain cases, access was not possible even though it was permitted based on the user's assigned permissions.<\/p>\n

The permission check has been corrected. Users with the role Local DPO<\/strong> After the update, they will be able to access Processing Activity Reports in accordance with their assigned permissions.<\/p>\n

Improving System Availability<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under certain conditions, the reclassification of processing activities into a Infinite loop<\/strong> occur. This could happen in particular during processing activities whose criticality was not visible to the user in question.<\/p>\n

The underlying logic has been corrected. The recalculation now completes properly and is not triggered repeatedly. This prevents unnecessary system load and any resulting Impact on System Availability<\/strong> avoided.<\/p>\n

For users, this correction will not result in any changes to how 2B Advice PrIME is operated.<\/p>\n

Significance of the Release for Working with Processing Activities<\/h2>\n

A key focus of PrIME Release 7.10.3.1<\/strong> is shown in the illustration of the Life Cycle of Processing Activities<\/strong>. Processing activities that are no longer needed can be selectively deactivated in the future. When creating a new version, you can also specify immediately whether the previous version should remain active or be deactivated when the new version is created.<\/p>\n

In addition, this release corrects the processing and recalculation of processing activities, as well as report access for local DPOs.<\/p>\n
