The Information Security Officer (ISO) is a position in companies or authorities that is responsible for the IT security of the technologies used and the associated processes. This person is often also referred to as the Chief Information Security Officer or Information Security Officer. A central task is to set up and manage an information security management system. Similar to the data protection officer, the ISO is independent and reports directly to the management or head of the authority.<\/p>\n
