What does ePrivacy Regulation mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n The Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the respect for private life and the protection of personal data in electronic communications and repealing Directive 2002\/58\/EC (Regulation on Privacy and Electronic Communications), in short: the ePrivacy Regulation, should also enter into force at the same time as the GDPR. However, this has not yet been finalized, so unfortunately only a corresponding proposal exists. The aim of the ePrivacy Regulation is to bring the rules on electronic communication closer to the GDPR without going beyond its provisions. Unfortunately, there is still no regulation at EU level specifically relating to online data protection.
