Your responsibilities as a Senior Data Protection Consultant

As a Senior Data Protection Consultant (m/f/d), you will manage data protection projects and ensure that our customers comply with the GDPR. In the future, you will develop with us in the areas of Compliance and risk management and supports the further development of our integrated risk management solution Ailance.

As a project manager, you monitor project budgets and schedules, coordinate your own team and legally check whether clients are acting in compliance with the GDPR. Thanks to your suggestions for improvement, you enable customers to achieve efficient and secure data protection.
You will provide long-term data protection support to major clients, hold regular client meetings, and assist with your clients' data protection projects, such as the introduction of new tools and data protection programs. You will also establish data protection structures, develop data protection guidelines, concepts, and management systems, and advise on the implementation of deletion concepts, for example. In doing so, you will build a personal relationship of trust with your clients and provide them with expert advice on challenging data protection issues.
As an external data protection officer, you are the main point of contact for customers, process incoming customer inquiries and coordinate them within the team. To analyze the current status, you will carry out annual audits on site (Europe-wide or globally) at the customer's premises.
In training courses, you will train customers in data protection issues. Over time, you will also be able to work as a trainer for TÜV and our own academy and train new data protection officers.

What you bring to the role of Senior Data Protection Consultant

You have successfully completed your studies in law, business law, business informatics, or a comparable field (international degrees are also welcome). Optionally, you may have already gained experience abroad or completed your education abroad.
You have several years of professional experience in data protection, Compliance or consulting experience and ideally have already taken on project management tasks. It is also an advantage if you already have knowledge of business analytics and a sales-oriented mindset.
You can react spontaneously to new situations, are open to new things, like to challenge the status quo and have the will to constantly expand your knowledge.

You want to help optimize data protection consulting through the use of technologies such as AI and actively shape this change.
With your solution-oriented way of working, you find out what customers really need and can thus develop practical, economical solutions.

Your communication skills enable you to lead customers, argue your proposals confidently and assert yourself. Your independent and structured way of working helps you to manage projects with confidence.

You are able to work in a team and are keen to collaborate with other experienced consultants, train young colleagues, and share your knowledge.
Thanks to your excellent English skills, you can communicate easily with international customers. You are willing to travel internationally on a regular basis to conduct data protection audits and on-site appointments.
