With Ailance RoPA, you can manage your processing directory easily and efficiently. One clever function that you will certainly not want to do without is the compliance check for processing activities. We briefly introduce you to the smart RoPA function.
What exactly does the Compliance Check do?
The compliance check is an assessment procedure that ensures that processing activities comply with legal, regulatory and internal company requirements. It also checks whether the processing activities are correctly documented and whether the legal basis for the processing, the data protection measures and the rights of the data subjects are adequately taken into account.
This check function helps you to ensure that no important information is overlooked.
How easy it is to carry out the check
To carry out the compliance check, proceed as follows:
1. open the processing activity for which you want to perform the check.
2. go to the "Compliance" tab.
3. fill in the details on the "Compliance" tab.
The Compliance Check checks the following information:
- Rights of the data subject (data subject rights)
- Data breach (data breach)
- Information obligation
- Technology-based data protection (privacy by design)
- Data protection through privacy-friendly default settings (privacy by default)
- Legal basis for processing (Legal basis for processing)
- Legal basis for data transfer (Legal basis for data transfer)
Each section contains one or more questions on the topic where you can select an answer. Usually "Yes", "No" or "Not applicable", based on the processing activity information. You can also add your own notes.
4. click on "Save".
And the check is complete. Sounds simple? It is!
